"Have used AMD for 5 years now and love everything they do. I ran an Athlon 64 3400+ for 5 years and it kept up with all the new games that would come out, up until recently. Now i have upgraded to the Quad 4 processor platform and love it very much. A stock Quad 4 9950 runs at 2600Mhz. I have the Black "unlocked" Edition and it overclocks easily. I have it running at a very stable 3000 Mhz.(3.0Ghz) Now i just have to save for one of their amazing video cards."

K9A2 Platinum motherboard, 4 GB of Patriot Viper 1066 advanced gaming memory, A.M.D. Phenom 9950 Quad-core processor, Asus Lion Square cooling heatsink/fan, Rosewill 950w power supply, Saphire 3870 single slot PCIe x16 2.0, all in a Thermaltake Armor VA8000 series case. I Use this thing mainly for playing games online and otherwise, but I do do a little bit of video and music editing. With the 9950 at it's heart it does more than I need it to.
"If you were to tell me about 4 months ago that I would be able to afford a quad core processor, I would have laughed in your face but A.M.D. has made that a reality with their Phenom X4 branch of processors. Fast, Reliable, and overall just an absolutely great product. I've been building and working on computers for about 8 years now and I have used about every type of A.M.D. processor that they have put out in that time period and nothing even scratches the capabilities of this amazing processor class. If I had the chance to go back and decide what to get again I would so not change a thing because this thing has it all."

"AMD, the only one i use since i ever used the computer. with this type of processor the Quad Core to use the full benefit and the power of this insane processor please use the right Motherboard with it and do not be spending less on the main board. look for the type of chips and the FSB is the major. drop it in the socket, lock it in. paste your sink on... starter up and let it rip! u may need to flash your bios.
"amd phenom 9600be: this is by far the best cpu ive ever had, even with the errata issue. i have always used amd products. the only issues i have is the issue of obviously the errata which is solved in newer phenoms. as well as the fact that in most pc games all four cores arent used, that as well applies to 64bit. (dx 10.1 also) im using vista ultimate 64 and have a 4870 1gig. so dx10.1 is a wait as well... so is life... i cant score it perfect on account of the errata issue and basically; in the software i use, like gaming, it really isnt used. ill write a review of my radeon card next"
