"I found this processor to be middle of the road performance, but great value. I get a 5.9 vista score and the thing doesnt hold me back anywhere, so I cant complain.
When i tried to overclock, i blew 2motherboards, some ram, a PSU, i dotn think its the limiting factor, thats for sure. I started at 2.6 and went to 3.2Ghz before everything blew up once."

"I upgraded from the Athlon X2 5400+ to the Phenom 9850 X4 and all I can say is, WOW!! This thing is fast. And the stock heatsink/fan that came with it does a good job of keeping it cool too. The only problem I had was with Cool&Quiet, throttling it down under load. Beside's that no problems"

"It performs very well in most configurations I've used it in. The only exception would be on a system with less than 1GB RAM. Other than that, it's a solid performer on my system which I mainly use for games and multimedia. Boot and Login time is incredibly FAST!!! I would buy this product again without a doubt....Period."

"I have the 9850x4. I overclocked it to 3.0 Ghz using stock cooling. This CPU along with my 4870 x2 will play any game. Don't rely on the Intel biased benchmarks, the Phenom is a very good CPU and will only get better when Phenom 2 comes out. I switched to AMD when the Socket A Athlons came out and have stayed with them ever since."

"I sold my amd turion x2 laptop to get my new amd phenom 9500 desktop and it is fantastic .
I can trans code and burn a high quality dvd in 30 min or LESS with the cpu temp not going any higher then 55C and useing around 55-60% cpu use .
I can do all my normal taskes like down loading, playing movies , surfing the internet at the same time with only like 10-18% cpu use and cpu temp at about 42-45C .
Now as im writeing this revue im playing mp3's 2 down loade's running and the music file open with my mp3's and im useing less then 10% cpu like 2-6% and cpu temp is 39-40C .
In short i am verry inpressed bie this processor and would love to get an even faster amd phenom just becouse i want to see how much of a KICK BUT CPU that might be "will be" so .
And the price is Great as well .
Thanks AMD you guys are the best and most innovative ."
