"My Laptop is HP 6515b, which I bought Last year. It is good. The GPU is better than Intel or NV. I thought I spent less money and bought a better laptop.
I love it! Expect the new Tigris.

Too hot cpu Date: May 18, 2009
Pros: Fast
Cons: Runs Hot, energy drainer

"I own a ZM-80 running at 2.1 GHz.
Processor speed is good.
However, definitely too hot mobile CPU which have most of the inconvinients on this market segment.
I am obliged to reduce the maximum usable percentage of CPU on windows vista on my HP Tx2 too reduce the fan noise...
The battery won't last long and I know that the computer will go much more warmer when it will be 2/3 years old.

"I have an HP Dv4z with a Turion Ultra ZM-80, HD Radeon 3200 with 64mb sideported memory, and 4gigs of RAM running vista64-bit. On high performance mode, this cpu and videocard run everything very smoothly. Running a virus scan, playing music, and internet surfing is no problem. Battery life is very good for a 6-cell battery; I can watch an entire movie flawlessly on a plane, and still have time to listen to music and to work. AMD made a great platform."

"very good processor at par with the first generation of core2duo by intel
i am using a toshiba m305 zm 80 processor.
this works perfectly fine with my lappy.
everything is working perfectly well aside from the heat exhaust/ fan of my laptop,
i had to buy a cooling pad for this matter.
hopefully amd can have a better cooling system or thermal envelope in this amazing product.
keep it up amd...
amd fan here....

Good but... Date: April 29, 2009
Pros: Good Value, High Quality, Many Features
Cons: Not Fast Enough, Too Basic, Runs Hot

Product Use I have a HP TX2 multitouch tablet PC. Basically, I use it to surf websites, and type some document, and also includes some graphics design by Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator. Sometime, video editing is needed. However, the battery life is too short and every time when I bring the computer outside, it can just stand for 2 hours, and it is hot.
"The processor is too hot and power consuming"

"I have ZM-80 and I think that this is the best choice what can I do. It is very fast. When me and my friend compare this processor with Intel T5870. (Intel Centrino) ZM80 wins. Very fast. Good for playing games, work on the electrical schemes and more. This processor changes my opinion that in Notebook is best Intel. No! I recommend Turion Ultra. I like it and I will buy it again. :)"

If the heat gows away.. Date: January 26, 2009
Pros: Good Value
Cons: Runs Hot, battery life

"For a budget solution this is a good processor. Normally with AMD/ATI 3000 series you can play almost everything.

The problem is the heat generating by the cpu. It manages to produce more heat and drain more powerthan my old Tk-57.
If AMD can adress the heat problem with bios update, firmware, drivers, i would recommend it to anyone. But now i don't. Even pentium dual core run cooler and with similar or higher performance at same GHz..
I used to be an AMD fan..

First own AMD product "Intel & NVIDIA Fanboi" Date: January 1, 2009
Pros: Fast, Good Value, High Quality, Energy Efficient
Cons: l2 cache has lesser ram compare to intel core 2

Product Use Mainly web browsing for now and watching youtube. Eventually on games and watching bluray movies. Although I do my gaming on my main workstation computer powered by Intel Xeon Quad Core and Nvidia Quadro. I'm still satisfied with this AMD+ATI product.
"I'm totally blown away with my new laptop HP Pavilion dv5-1044ca it comes with AMD Turion X2 Ultra 2.1 GHZ with a graphics partner ATI Radeon HD3450 256MB. Absolutely amazing!!! I have watch Blu-Ray on my new laptop and it's crisp and clear. I haven't try the gaming part will eventually dig into that sooner or later. My gf already bug me to install WOW on it to see the gaming part of it . Tomorrow I will bring my new toy to her house so that she can play with it. Although I'm a big fan of Intel and Nvidia. I must say that with the new latest technology coming from AMD Turion X2 Ultra it's pretty amazing and I'm impress by the performance. At least i can experience the performace myself with AMD+ATI technology even though some say the Intel Core 2 Duo still the dominant in CPU area. My thinking towards AMD are going to be different than before as most Intel fanboi does. Good job guys!!!"

best value for money Date: November 3, 2008
Pros: Fast
Cons: Runs Hot, energy drainer

"I've recently purchase an ACER 4530 with the latest Turion Ultra X2 ZM-80. I am quite impressed with its performance, everything is fast from start up to closing the computer. Most of the time i use the unit for video and gaming as well as surfing and downloading. My only problem is the battery life even setting the unit at power saver it only last up to 2 hours with just surfing the internet. I'm not sure if it is due to the poor battery cells installed in the unit or if AMD still has a power hungry processor. I notice the fan usually runs hot compared to my old Compaq which runs on a low end intel pentium dual core."
